We will first off check on the intended use and minimum requirements, next we will cross check compatibility of all applications that equipment will need to host. This includes contacting the vendors of each application that must be located on the equipment and ensuring the very model being considered will in fact support the application. Next we check on compatibility with the network environment the equipment will need to live in. Then we cross check the compatibility of the equipment with any short or long range plans the company has. Finally, we check on the intended user’s general workflow. Is this equipment compatible with the intended user (i.e. is the screen resolution OK for their vision, is the footprint too big for the desk, is there a network drop available, etc.).
