HAWAII IS A RISKY STATE FOR MALWARE

It may surprise you to know that Hawaii is one of the 10 riskiest states in the country for malware hits according to a 2023 SonicWall Cyber Threat Report.

Cetra Technology names new President

(Honolulu, Hawaii, Tuesday, July 6, 2021) – Cetra Technology today announced the promotion of Guy Fernandes to company president. He was previously the executive vice president managing the company’s banking, forensic and data recovery divisions. Michael McMurdo who was president will now assume the role of chief executive officer.

“With Cetra Technology’s growth over the past few years, it became important to also develop our leadership team to better serve our clients,” said McMurdo. “Guy is not only a very talented engineer but well-versed in all aspects of our business. His leadership will be critical to Cetra’s continued diversification and growth.”

Fernandes has been with Cetra for more than 11 years and has over 30 years of experience working in the financial, medical, legal, construction, government, retail and hotel industries. He developed the Fraud Detection Check Imaging solution for one of Hawaii’s leading banks and designed IT systems for many of Hawaii’s leading businesses.

In a related move to further improve the reliability and further strengthen the security of Cetra’s services, Anson Lum was promoted from Vice President of Engineering to Chief of Engineering. In his new role, Lum will lead efforts to evaluate and implement technologies to ensure the continued dependability and safety of client systems. Lum has been with Cetra since it was established in 2008 and has had more than 20 years of experience in designing and managing IT infrastructure.
