​Wouldn't it be cheaper to have my own IT staff?

​Generally speaking, the answer is no. Cetra determines a price for your company based on the number of computers and servers you have. The price is almost always lower than an in-house employee. However, it can depend on how much you value that position. You may be able to hire a person right out of high school or college who seems to know a lot about computers and be able to hire them for less than what Cetra is quoting. What you need to know is that Cetra's engineers are very experienced and highly trained so a problem that they might fix in a few minutes can often take many hours or even days for an inexperienced person to resolve.

Often we will interview an employee and if they are good, we may hire them and train them to become one of our staff engineers. If they are not good, maybe you should reconsider your position. If they can't become a Cetra engineer, then they may not have enough knowledge and experience to help you in the first place.

​This is probably one of the biggest mistakes companies make. Just because someone can install a program or fix a few things on a computer does not make them a qualified engineer. Doing that puts your employee back into a position they can focus on and your IT gets handled by a team of experts.

​Compared to the telephone company, Cetra is small. Why should I purchase bandwidth from Cetra when i can go directly to the phone company?
